Tranz Metro

This is about the narrow gauge train in Auckland.
The train runs in the city of Auckland from Waitakere to Pukekohe.
This facility is provided from Monday to Friday.
On Saturday, it only goes up to Papakura & not Pukekohe.
There are no trains on Sundays & other public holidays.
For a family, the full day pass costs $ 20, & you can go anywhere to & fro, as many number of times. It has only few compartments. It has glass doors & windows. It has a central cooling & heating system. There are two guards in the train, who are responsible for giving you the ticket, as well as opening & closing the doors’ when the station comes. The guard uses his key for the central closing & opening system.
A copy of the train timetable is provided in the train or on the bus terminal. This copy has timings for all the stations plus a map to show you the route. The train is mostly on time & very few people travel on it. Students & elderly people are given concessions & children under 5 travel free. All trains stop at all stations. There are not too many trains. The guard & the driver wear navy blue uniform on duty. You can pass through the compartments, but they are joined, only when the train stops.

Standing when the train is in motion, eating & smoking are not allowed.
